Column 12 – Travel Photography Tips

August 1st, 2010By Brian Clarke

I hope that you were able to read my last column on fireworks just in time for the Fourth of July.  Judging by the feedback I received via e-mail it looks like it timed out just fine!  This month’s column was inspired by a message I received from Mike K of Hamilton.  Let’s take a look:

“Brian, I’m going away on my first major vacation in years and am excited to bring my camera.  Could you offer up any tips I should follow to take some awesome pictures?”

Back from Mexico

July 19th, 2010By Brian Clarke

I’ve just returned from a week in Riviera Maya, Mexico.  My wife Erin and I had an amazing time.  Aside from relaxing on the beach, hiking in the jungle and climbing an ancient Mayan pyramid, I managed to take some photos too!  Check out the gallery HERE for a small look at my trip south.

Column 11 – Fireworks Fun

July 1st, 2010By Brian Clarke

It’s that time of year where we Americans gather round in backyards eating BBQ or in public parks staring into the sky as we watch the tiny, yet powerful explosive devices known as fireworks captivate an audience.  Even though invented by the Chinese in the 12th century, we use fireworks to celebrate our independence and our patriotism.  Have you ever tried to photograph a fireworks display?  Without the right tools it is very difficult.  However, I’m going to show you some tips and tricks in the column that will make capturing fireworks very easy and enjoyable.

Timmy Sean’s Album Photos

June 27th, 2010By Brian Clarke

Long time friend of mine, Timmy Sean, needed some photos for the cover of his new album.  He wanted the picture to show exactly how he recorded the album, in a bathrobe and gym shorts.  Check out his site over at www.TimmySean.com.  You can view the original photos over in the clients section HERE.  A little help from Photoshop can make all the difference in the world.
